Entrepreneurs and Risks !!

“You have to be risk averse to be a good entrepreneur” told my amazing professor of entrepreneurship. Sounds counter-intuitive but the real funda is that an entrepreneur thinks through everything, tried to cover himself for every aspect, and then implement his plan like hell. Same concept was reinforced in this amazing story of Mr. Sanjeev Bikhchandani, CEO of Naukri.com. Check his amazing story here. Waiting for hear directly from Mr. Bikhchandani in ISB’s Media Conclave….More to follow on this.

Hi Vinit,

Started reading your blog when i searched for Tips for this year's ISB essays. Was earlier considering getting some help but after reading your journey of self discovery, of fighting back one more time have decided otherwise.
To introduce myself, i am a regular IIT Grad, working with a data analytics company, starting my MBA application journey (particularly interested in ISB).
Have covered 10% of your blogs. They are so informative and really like your perspective of looking at things...

Here: taking your advice and networking :)

Best Wishes!

Regards,
Abhinav

Dear Vinit,

I know its expecting a lot, but would be really helpful if you could answer just one question for me.

How did you decide what your career goals were? Which industry - which role?

I have seen very little professionally in last 2 years and although i know that i want to be in consulting kinda role.. where i use a lot of analysis, client interface and then effective communication... but am clueless about any specifics and especially about what my long term goals could be.

The other two ISB essays were pretty easy after i read your tips.. :)

Thanks in anticipation!

Regards,
Abhinav
